Introducing Student Mysteries

Over the years, literally hundreds of you have written us to ask for a student version of Dear Holmes. Our mysteries are perfect for practicing critical-thinking and reading comprehension, but not all of them are entirely student-friendly.

Today, we’re finally delivering what you’ve asked for: A mystery bundle made specifically for students.

The all-new Dear Holmes Student-Detective Bundle includes six mysteries from our archive that are tailored to the maturity and deductive skillset of readers ages twelve to sixteen, and full of educational value.

You can order this package now for $129.

Each mystery in this bundle includes four to five letters, delivered over the course of about a month. Each case challenges students to think in new and interesting ways and teaches them about a different swath of Victorian life.

We designed this package to be a flexible tool for educators and parents.

Teachers can use these mysteries to supplement literature, critical-thinking, or creative-writing units. Writing Sherlock Holmes a solution letter makes for a perfect introduction to letter-writing.

Librarians can offer Dear Holmes mysteries to their students as an engaging extracurricular activity. Parents can use these mysteries as a collaborative family activity. To learn about a few of the many ways to play Dear Holmes, visit Dearholmes.com/how-to-play.

In addition to offering this to individuals, we are also making this package available for bulk-purchase by schools, libraries, and other groups. If you’re interested in purchasing in bulk for your entity, email Sales[at]dearholmes.com.

This is our first foray into education, but we don’t expect it to be our last. If you have ideas for how we can make Dear Holmes more useful in a classroom setting, don’t hesitate to reach out!
