Salutations, Sleuths!
By now, you will have no doubt heard of The Fickle Fiancé ’s dilemma and the case of potential poisoning surrounding Miss Ruth Dresser and her husband-to-be, political aspirant Dalton Ward. As per usual, your keen wit helped Holmes and Watson clear up this mess for the Dressers. Now that our villain is in shackles, let us take a moment to celebrate some of the clever detectives who lent their minds, including of course, this case’s Featured Detective!
When investigators first received Miss Dresser’s call for help, many were convinced, like she, that her husband was the victim of some sinister plot. Whether he had been poisoned by Miss Vesta, his staff, or one of his interviewers— mid-meeting—was unclear, but the fact he was suffering from some strange sudden illness was indisputable. Yet, once word of “The Club” surfaced, as did Mr. Ward’s official diagnosis, most theories began to diverge. Mr. Ward’s health might have been in peril, but some detectives argued that the real mystery lay behind his relationship to Mr. Mags, Club Kos, and its eponymous code. Moreover, a number of sharp eyes suspected that Mr. Ward’s associate, David MacBain, was also linked to this ordeal. A certain few, like Detective Dennis M., correctly deduced that the true link to scrutinize was that between Mr. Ward and the late Lillian Newton, however, our newest Featured Detectives saw through the blinds of this case with lightning speed and laser-like precision.
Working as a terrific trio, The Gennace Detectives & Bartleby James, Research Tortoise, of Lyndhurst, NJ, were first to send in a theory that accounted for all the problems the Dressers were facing. In spite of their Research Assistant’s preferred pace, the Gennace Detectives raced to the finish line with solutions aplenty: These Featured Detectives connected the dots from Mr. Ward’s supposed “illness”, to his secret past, to MacBain’s motives; and then extended that line of thought over to Miss Vesta and Mr. Mags’ own involvement in the case.
Miss Dresser might have to do some thinking about her marriage, but thanks to The Gennace Detectives and Dr. James, she can sleep peacefully at night knowing she and her loved ones are safe from harm.
Congratulations from the Dear Holmes Team to The Gennace Detectives and Dr. James — a special reward will soon be on its way to your door!
